Yeah the way Blake Lively and the rest of the cast are promoting the film feels like their promoting a rom com whereas Justin has been giving really in depth conversations on domestic violence in his interviews. Blake had way too much control as a producer of this film I feel.

For me, I didn’t view any of this as heroic or antiheroic. I saw one murderer taking out other murderers. I didn’t garner any noble motives behind said killings, so personally I can’t call this an antihero thing. I’m gunna check it out when it hits theatres; certainly looks better & has me more excited than the Thunderbolts

so Sony release the trailer for another Spiderman villain film - well, they tinker with the comic book version of the character to make the character an anti-hero, and there is no appearance from any of the cinematic Spider Men…….the positive - it cannot be as bad as Madame Webb…the negative - this still looks like a B move….plus - spoiler - the Rhino is in thee - reminds me of the Fox X-Men Universe, there were be 2 versions of a character - Cable?….

Well, it looks like...a movie. So now its time for the you tubers to act like giddy little schoolgirls for the next few months, and endlessy speculate on every frame of the trailer and what it all means and try to make it fit in Spiderman universe. Oh boy...

My brother's out of theatre reaction came with 40 minutes to go when he walked out of it. I stayed behind to endure the complete and utter bullshit that followed. Fede Alvarevez completely fucked up. What a disappointment of a film (and I use the term 'film' loosely). The first half hour was awesome. But I'm sure they were saying that on the Titanic before it hit the Iceberg... My brother walked out half way through the movie, I had to walk home alone in the rain, thanks. What a weird, boring garbage film, that ending was SHITTTTTTT

Sony still trying to make this happen and making every villain an antihero as you mentioned is getting old. These characters work best as full villains and played in contrast to Spider man.

Yeah idk about this one. I love Aaron Taylor Johnson, but I would have loved to see Crowe play the lead instead. I know, Johnson is a lot more fit and younger so I get it. But a more older heavier Kraven would have been more badass I think. Especially after playing the Spider-Man 2 game and seeing what they did with Kraven in that game. As for the rest of the trailer, it looks like an action film I have seen a million times before. Nothing looks original to me. And Rhino looks god awful lol. Also I am not a fan how Sony claims all these villains and turns them into heroes. I would have loved to see Kraven face off against Spidey, but since Sony doesnt even have a Spidey in their own so called Spider-Verse without a Spider lol this whole thing just makes no sense to me. Its leading nowhere. Its pointless. I am over it. I wish Marvel got the rights to these characters back. But thats just me. It does look better then Venom 3 or Madame Web, I will give it that. Perhaps it could be entertaining, but I dont care to see this in theatres.

The visuals and action are great... still no idea what’s going on 😄 But, as fans we’ve complained when they give too much away and complain when there isn’t enough so maybe that’s the point. Go watch and find out?

My skepticism: Isn't Kraven a bad guy? Craven means cowardly, but I guess if spelled with a _K_ it means Kickass now? And the CGI Rhino stamped scene looks too much like a video game cut scene.

I had the same reaction as you did. I want to like it, but something seems off.

I love Marvel. I mean, MCU related Marvel. Ha. And Spiderverse and Venom to a certain degree. But I can't bring myself to care about this at all because of Morbius, Web, and such. It's sorta just killed any hype I have for Sony related stuff outside of Venom 3.

And I'm pretty sure I'll never see Madam Web. This one though, if it turns out not despised by you youtubers, I might give a try. But I doubt I'll watch it in the cinema. Only if, by some miracle, it's praised by everyone and everybody loves it... However, I think it's particularly appealing to the audience that like these kinds of films, like just any generic 80s Stallone or Schwarzenegger films.

For me the show was ok. I was disappointed that it was only 10 episodes, I didn't like that we got another pointless retelling of Harvey Dent/TwoFace and it was unnecessarily two parts. I also was disappointed when Batman appeared to sideswipe three regular villains with his Batmobile. This feels more like a Elseworld tale and less like a spiritual successor or a continuation of the Batman animated series. I think Imma stick with the original animated series. I believe that a Batman who kills or appears to kill betrays the spirit of the character that I've known through comics and other older Batman media.

Will this Batman the Cape crusade be on a cartoon channel so that everybody can see it?

Yes, I was hoping for better animation as well. But I love the tone. I had issues with Barbara Gordon’s age (only because I am a Barbara/Grayson fan). I did love the show. Highly re-watchable. This series led me down a path of watching 1940’s serials like Spymasher and Captain Midnight. Fun stuff.

6/ 10 Was entertaining. Not scary at all though. The cast -the ones who last longer - were good. The others = cannon fodder. Better than Resurrection, the AVPs and Covenant.
